has been evaluated 'Top Album' at the first position. *Hey! A few weeks have now gone by since the release of the new album
'The Blow Of Furious Winds'. Reviews / Interviews are getting done, even
if things are quite slow. The next months should see the release of
numerous reviews and interviews for the album.
*Funny and quite annoying actually, is the typical and usual un-professionality
of most of the metal press....they simply reconfirm how they just don't
know how to do it seriously. We have decided, for fun's sake, to post an
excerpt of a review done by MetalEagle.com where the band's nationality
seams to be an issue to the guy and the front cover a measure of judgement..."...is
their third album and judging by the cover, I was willing to ignore the
fact that they are Italian and was expecting a decent album."....how
lame.
Not wasting any further time on this, we thought it would be amusing

HORTUS ANIMAE have finally closed and signed a deal for the
release of their long-awaited new album entitled 'The Blow Of
Furious Winds'. The band has signed a release contract with
Greek label SLEASZY
RIDER RECORDS who will release the album on September
12th this year with a heavy duty promotion campaign.
The album is an amalgam of almost all styles and really represents
the band's desire to create the 'musical encyclopedia'. Recording
and mixing was done at Alpha-Omega studios with Producer Alex
Azzali. The album will be released in digipack with a 'Making
Of...' video track and 2 bonus tracks. Keep an eye out!

Update from the HORTUS ANIMAE front.
The band has completed the mix of their new album entitled 'The Blow Of Furious Winds'.
The bonus tracks for the album will be a cover version of QUEEN's 'Fairy Feller Masterstroke / Nevermore' and Dead Can Dance's "Summoning of The Muse", featuring Liv Kristine (ex-Theatre Of Tragedy) on lead vocals!
A 'making of' video track should also be included.
The album shows an extremely heightened maturity in the song-writing and performance of the band, forging an album that contains almost every kind of musical expression known to Metal and beyond metal, truly expressing Hortus Animae's contemporary character of 'The Musical Encyclopedia'. The artworkl will be handled by Neon Trinity Kill studios who also worked with Ancient, Aborym and Hortus Animae on their debut release and will feature the band in a new cultured image of secret society.
It will be a very innovative and diverse album!! Keep an eye out!

Hortus Animae have begun the pre-productions of their new upcoming masterpiece, the follow up to the acclaimed 'Waltzing Mephisto'. It will be entitled 'The Blow Of Furious Winds' and will be a concept album in true Hortus Animae style. No release date has been set as of now. The band has focused more on exploring new and broader emotions with their new compositions and has increased the gothic elements already contained in their first release. More to come on the subject!
